Lemonade & Sunshine

This is the most divine birthday party I have ever seen! Jessica, over at Pen n' Paperflowers, created this beautiful day for her two oldest daughters. The theme was lemonade & sunshine, with a lovely rustic feel and a colour palette of pink & yellow - what lucky girls! 
I wonder if Jess would pop over to New Zealand to help with our next party? With four girls in our household, she would be most popular. xxx

The brilliant Rob Ryan

I have been a huge Rob Ryan fan for a while now, and one day would love to own an original print of his - for now I will just have to settle for having one as my screen saver!

Graphic Wonderland

I have another amazing home to show you. You can find it in the latest Lonny mag, I saw it originally on the lovely Santa's blog - Homestilo. The home was designed by decorator, Lisa Sherry, and the thing I love the most about it is the abundance of beautiful graphic patterns throughout the house. From stripes on the kitchen island, and the Moroccan-style medallion on the ceiling, to the hexagon rug in the office, and all the patterns and motifs in the living room (my favourite room). The light airy rooms with their pristine white walls are a perfect backdrop, and enable all these patterns and colours to sit harmoniously together. It's an inspiration to me. xxx

Here are three quite different, but equally gorgeous, looks with cushions...

A lovely sun-drenched room. Fresh white, with the lovely kaleidoscope of colour in those cute cushions. I love the little turquoise touches (my favourite colour) - isn't the little deer on the windowsill precious!

More lovely white with a zing of colour, but quite different cushions. You can buy one of these cleverly crocheted cushions or footstools, along with the rugs, at this Etsy store.

This might just be my favourite! Blue & yellow is a classic colour theme, and this is nice and subtle with just little splashes of yellow. The cushions on the sofa are divine, and I'm in love with the little footstool. And the lovely curves of the lamp base, the sofa, the apple, and the wiggly fabric is softening the clean, straight lines of the tables, the frame and the shape of the stool.

Biker Chic

Yes, you have got the right blog! I know I'm a real girly-girl and this is not my usual sort of post, but underneath the lace and flowers I have a secret desire to be a biker chic! The problem is I don't like motorbikes, but I love the biker-inspired fashion, and I have become hooked on the TV show "Sons of Anarchy". 
While I was in Wellington last weekend I bought some Lee Biker Licks jeans (as pictured below), they are such a great fit, perfect with boots, and with my new leather jacket (which is also very cool - tan coloured Levis fitted jacket). "Sons of Anarchy" is on tonight in New Zealand, channel 3, 9.30pm - drama packed, great viewing!

Sweet Dreams

I'm feeling a lot like this little cutie right now! After a big weekend away with the girls I was looking forward to a good nights sleep in my own bed. But my two small six year olds, happy to have Mum home, took it in turns to wake me in the night for cuddles after they claimed they were having bad dreams. Now I am going to crawl back into my bed and hope for a better night tonight.

These beds are looking so inviting to me. I'm seeing a pattern here - I love crisp white linen with a pretty colourful throw or blanket. All images from the fabulous pinterest.
