Danish artist, Nynne Rosenvinge, creates beautiful, quite minimalist and contemporary paintings and illustrations. Her home is equally as stunning, in fact I could stare at this photo of her living room all day long! There's so much I love about it... the hero is Nynne's own painting, which is incredible! The busyness of the wall cabinets, and the colours in the painting and rug are off-set by the simple, clean lines of the furniture. And the Ferm Living diamonds hung from the ceiling lead your eye up along the line of the ceiling and balance the brass and purple lamp.
The roof line is quite a feature in the home. The sky light and window bring a lot of natural light into the dining area. I love how the curves found in the table and chairs, and in Nynne's artwork help to balance all the home's structural angles.
A little Ikea stool painted neon orange brings a splash of colour to the kitchen.
The Ferm Living wallpaper in the entrance brings a touch of darkness to the otherwise light home. It sets off the Eames Hang-It-All beautifully, and the tiny mushroom hook at a child's height is adorable.
The little collection on the table perfectly reflects the print above by Nynne.
Nynne's very well organised work space includes handy storage for all her artwork.
The triangle features of the house are quite gorgeous in the master bedroom and bathroom.
Daughter Sofia's bedroom is delightful, with a gorgeous art piece that Nynne created from old coat hangers.
A fabulous home with lovely clean lines - the colour and decorative touches breathe life into it and keep it from appearing too minimalist. You can also find Nynne's prints here.

Nina's Style
You may remember in my first Favourite Finds post here, I told that you that I have only recently become hooked on the Aussie TV programme Offspring. It's not just the crazy and hilarious family drama that takes place every episode, I absolutely love the style of the main character Nina.
The home she shares with partner, Patrick, is an amazing converted warehouse. In real life it's owned by Melbourne-based artist Adriane Strampp, and has been featured in the July/August 2013 issue of Inside Out magazine. The large rustic, industrial kitchen is flooded with light from those gorgeous windows.
The entrance is quite beautiful and grand in an old well-loved sort of way.
More fabulous light, and the artwork over the sofa is Ghost Garden (2010) by real owner, Adriane.
The art collection in Nina and Patrick's living room also belongs to Adriane. I love how it draws your eye up and away from the not-so-beautiful fireplace.
The home really is perfect for Nina's character - complex and beautiful, a little bit Boho.
The bedroom might just be my favourite room. The juxtaposition between the concrete wall and rough wood against the delicate patterns of the artwork and bedding. It's Patrick and Nina - don't you think?!
And I also love Nina's quirky, Bohemian fashion style. That's one of the things I look forward to most each week - seeing what she's wearing. No matter what crazy situation she's in, she always looks fabulous in her trademark long scarf and brown leather boots.

Colour Writing | Your Home and Garden
Three of my favourite things are interior design, colour, and glossy magazines. So you can imagine how excited I am to be able to bring all three of these things together - I'm working with Your Home and Garden as a colour writer, and my first feature appeared in the March issue which is out now.
This feature focusses on renovations, and how important it is to work out your colour scheme before you get started. As I said in the article, colour can dramatically change the feel of a home and express it's owner's personality. We bring you four very different colour themes to help you with your choice. Each theme includes paint colours chosen from the PPG Paints range, as well as tips and advice from me.
If you haven't already, make sure you pick up a copy of Your Home and Garden, it's packed full of inspiration. And keep your eye out for the next issue which will feature a new page, also written by me, called "Nook of the Month". Each month a little-used or under appreciated corner of a home will feature, and I'll share some ideas on how to use the nook in a new way.
