Tea Pea

With three young daughters I am always on the look out for cute, fun, high quality products for their rooms. Now that I'm also working with Bibby + Brady clients, it's made the hunt for fabulous products and suppliers even more of a priority. Luckily we have Tea Pea, a gold mine of gorgeous, colourful products, right at our fingertips. And if you're lucky enough to live in Wellington, you can visit their workroom shop in Khandallah, which is open Wednesdays and Fridays, from the very civilised hours of 9.30am to 2pm.

Tea Pea is the brain child of the beautiful Meg McMillan, and her husband Scott. With a background in interior design, and three children of her own, Meg designs a lot of their product herself, from oh-so-cute baby bloomers to colourful bunting. To compliment her own range, she and Scott sell some amazing pieces. The Heico lamps made in Germany are simply divine. Throughout the day they are gorgeous ornaments, and at night they give out a magical soft glow that your child will adore.

Another option is this cute wee guy, at only 15cm high he is an adorable nightlight. Run by batteries, he's perfect for popping on the bedside table, and there are no cables to worry about. This makes him extremely portable, so you can take him away with you too.

Most kids are crazy about dressing up (I know mine are), so I bet they'll love these beautiful masks. Handmade in Nepal, they use 100% New Zealand wool felt.

The Little Lamb Garlands are aptly described as being 'a 3m string of joy'! Also handmade in Nepal, you can string them just about anywhere to create a vibrant, fun look.

And something for the adults - my favourite new addition to the Tea Pea store are these cool Hello Signs. Gloss painted steel, you can hang them indoors or out. Wouldn't you love one to greet your guests by your front door?!

Make sure you check out all the other brilliant products found at Tea Pea. And if you're in Wellington pop in to their workroom shop, and say 'hi' to Meg from me.
