Ginger Elliott

The coolest things I think you can have in your home are pieces that have history and soul. But because you don't want your home to look like your grandmother's (bless her - it looks fabulous in her home), you want to give these older pieces a modern twist and bring them into the 21st Century. This is exactly what Sydney duo, Sarah Hargrave & Nicole Elliott, creators of Ginger Elliott, have done with their incredibly gorgeous first collection of up-cycled furniture.

The girls sent me their look book last week, and I was so excited to see their eclectic mix of cool, unique pieces. Both super creative, Sarah and Nicole have backgrounds in fashion, interior design, styling and business. They are passionate about taking vintage pieces and breathing new life into them to create fresh, edgy furniture. Furniture that will inject major personality into your home and turn your friends green with envy.

Each piece of furniture is carefully chosen by Sarah and Nicole for it's shape, design and potential. The girls select fabric and colours to enhance the individual character, and lovingly restore and refurbish each piece to perfection.

If you are lucky enough to live in Sydney, one of these beauties could be yours today! Delivery options are available for you lucky Australians. As for the rest of us, we will have to be content with loving from afar, and being totally inspired. My first choice would be the Vintage Metal Love Seat, it has my name all over it - those lion cushions are amazing!

  2. Oh wow! These are some seriously talented ladies. I tend to use colour sparingly when paired with modern furniture but using it with classic lines and traditional furniture looks so much better. I love the dark wood with the classic lines of the chair in the first picture, but when paired with that fabric, it brings the whole thing to life.
