Jean-Christophe Aumas' Paris Apartment

The creativity paired with the incredible furniture and beautiful 'things' in this Parisian apartment, took my breath away when I first came across it. The fact that it's owner is the highly sought after artistic director of Voici-VoilĂ , Jean-Christophe Aumas, clarifies everything. He designs windows and special events for the likes of Louis Vuitton, John Galliano, Lacoste, and more. Jean-Christophe's home is filled with a mix of rare vintage furniture collected on his travels, and his own creations, which includes pieces from some of his window displays.

This vintage Swan sofa by Arne Jacobsen is a favourite of mine. A walnut stool by Charles and Ray Eames was found in an antique store, and the art is by Jean-Christophe. On the wall behind he has painted a pink rectangle underlined with yellow which compliments the art.

One black wall with three blue triangles painted in the top corner is another fun, creative touch. The photographer's lamp is a flea market find, and the daybed was purchased on eBay and reupholstered.

Even a stack of fire wood doesn't escape Jean-Christophe's artistic hand, alongside a disco ball once used in a window display.

Jean-Christophe designed the table which reflects the original herringbone parquet floor, the vintage lounge chair is by Warren Platner for Knoll. The coloured cubes which feature throughout the apartment were once part of a Louis Vuitton display.

I love how the lights highlight and frame one of Jean-Christophe's photos, which hangs above a vintage, reupholstered sofa.

The 1970s leather and brass dining chairs are my absolute favourite in the entire apartment - so cool!

This kitchen island is one of the best displays of Jean-Christophe's creativity. He designed the island covered in marble tiles, and the layout of floor tiles. The matrix of lights strung above is so sculptural, like a work of art.

One final vignette to show off what he does best, Jean-Christophe uses the tall window as a backdrop to his collection. Wow, I am so inspired!

  1. Wow. So eclectic, yet incredibly tasteful. I absolutely love his creativity and style. It's one of those homes you need to study to take in every detail. I could be on this page for a while Vic! x
