Light & Lovely

Here's a home to make you swoon...! We've come accustomed to the gorgeous light and bright interiors typical of Scandinavian design, and this home doesn't disappoint. There are a raft of contrasting textures, but because they're all in the same white, silver, and blush pink tones, they don't overpower. A few of my favourite elements are the subway tiles laid out in a parquet pattern, the simple padded headboard, and, of course, the hanging chair.

This apartment was furnished and styled by the VT Wonen team for their digital Magalogue. They styled two apartments that were up for sale, this one was designed for a professional couple. The photos below were taken on their open day by the talented Paulina Arcklin.
A former freelance interior magazine writer and photo stylist, based in Amsterdam, Paulina now runs her business Picture This Concept Photography. She plans all her own photos, styles them and photographs them - how clever! Her clients include interior producers, interior designers, and owners of web shops.

If you liked the hanging chair in the first photo, a range of the ever popular hanging pod chairs will be arriving at the end of this month. I have the chair on the far left, and the one on the far right in my Cush & Nooks store, but if anyone is interested in any of the others, just drop me an email with your enquiry.

This is my Zara pod chair - my favourite spot to relax.

    1. Hi Amy, the white Zara pod chair is $900 + shipping, and the plain natural rattan chair is $800 + shipping. I'd have to confirm, but I presume the middle three chairs would also be $800 + shipping. x

  6. I am also with you on the subway tile, especially when arranged in that chevron pattern.

  7. Wow this is so beautiful! I'm not sure a white house like that would stay very clean in my family, but I love it all the same. I also adore those egg hanging chairs that are in your shop. If only they were in our budget right now! One day :)
