I discovered Emily Rickard a while ago on Society6, and immediately fell in love with her work. If you look under her 'about me' section on her Facebook page it simply says 'I make colorful artwork', and that she certainly does - colorful and beautiful!
Emily graduated from the Columbus College of Art & Design in 2010 with a BFA in Fine Art and a minor in Art History. She works with textiles and collage materials to construct bold and colorful compositions.
I want to get a piece for my daughter's room (she also loves Emily's work), and one for my office. The hardest part is narrowing it down to two as I have so many favourites. Not to worry, I could always get an iphone case...
A cushion or two...
A laptop skin...
And an ipad case.
You can also find Emily's work on Etsy, and she's happy to create custom works if there's something special you'd like her to make. I think she's awesome, what do you think?
