Black Beauty
There are a lot of things to love about this gorgeous home in the coastal suburb of Barwon Heads, Victoria, Australia, and for me it's the colour palette that's the winner. The beautiful depth and contrast provided by the charcoal with the white, and bursts of rich colour.
Also the textures are delicious - wood, polished concrete, brick, velvet...
And everything that has been chosen to go into the house has such great style, from the lights right down to the rugs.

LOVE!!! i love black houses! this is particularly fab! such great textures and colours inside...think i might have to put a lightshade like their outdoor one over my mirror in the bathroom!
ReplyDeleteThis is my kind of home, Vic; love the teal chair and the gold velvet used on the armchairs. The huge mirror in the dining room really does create the illusion of space although I can see I would be always wiping finger marks off it if something like that was in my house.
ReplyDeleteGreat find Vic. I must admit seeing the charcoal stain go on the exterior of our new house last week was exciting! I love the dark walls/celings inside this home too - so inspiring! x
ReplyDeleteI agree, a great find! What a gorgeous home and in such a great spot. I love the mustard chairs, amazing! x
ReplyDelete“Texture” was the first word that popped into my head before you mentioned it. That kitchen is a dream-come-true for me!
ReplyDeleteI love all the mix of textures, the wood and stone and that amazing rustic wood on the kitchen island.
ReplyDeleteLee :)
I'm a fan of those polished concrete floors. Also like how open the common space is.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great house. Wondering if it might be possible to find out what white paint they've used on the bathroom wall with the wood detailing?
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry, I don't know. It looks like a warm white like Resene Bianca or Wan White. Hope that helps. x
