Happy Easter

We've just had three days at our bach in Kuratau, Lake Taupo. As always, it was a beautiful, relaxing, fun, family time. But it's always good to come home, and I missed my blog, and our two cats. Hope you're all having a lovely break too. xxx

Black & White

I know a lot of the things I blog about are all about colour, and lots of it - I do love it. 

I've never been a beige, tea or coffee kind of girl. But I am also crazy about black & white. 
I love the graphic nature of it, and the extreme contrast.

While doing my usual internet crawling, I came across this really cool, award winning, graphic design agency called Family Design Co. They are based in Tauranga, New Zealand - a most beautiful part of the world. The thing that attracted me to their website was their awesome office space. As a graphic designer myself, I know how important it is to work in surroundings that inspire you. I bet the work that comes out of Family Design Co is fantastic! What do you think?

Lindi Kingi Design

I have been meaning to blog about Lindi Kingi for ages now - she is one of my favourite jewellery designers (I did feature one of her bracelets in my Green with Envy post). Lindi describes herself on her website as an emerging jewellery designer, but I would say she has well and truely emerged now - she has been featured in the latest Fashion Quarterly magazine. When I couldn't find a turquoise bracelet at my local Storm retailer I emailed Lindi directly, and she was only too happy to make one up for me with my choice of charms. What I love about her jewellery is that it's beautiful with a touch of edginess (is that a real word?!). As well as her website and blog, you can follow her on Facebook - so go and check her out.
