The Colorful World of Emily Rickard

I discovered Emily Rickard a while ago on Society6, and immediately fell in love with her work. If you look under her 'about me' section on her Facebook page it simply says 'I make colorful artwork', and that she certainly does - colorful and beautiful!

Emily graduated from the Columbus College of Art & Design in 2010 with a BFA in Fine Art and a minor in Art History. She works with textiles and collage materials to construct bold and colorful compositions.

I want to get a piece for my daughter's room (she also loves Emily's work), and one for my office. The hardest part is narrowing it down to two as I have so many favourites. Not to worry, I could always get an iphone case...

A cushion or two...

A laptop skin...

And an ipad case.

You can also find Emily's work on Etsy, and she's happy to create custom works if there's something special you'd like her to make. I think she's awesome, what do you think?

  1. Wow that stuff is so cool Vic. Love it.

  2. Oooooh I love all of this. Emily is one too cool for school artist. Thanks for sharing.

  3. I thought it couldn't get better until I saw the iphone case... and then the laptop skin! What a talented lady!

  4. Very talented. The artwork in the first image is my fave - gorgeous colours! x
